Jill Renee Fair, 47, Kokomo, passed away at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. She was born Dec. 30, 1969, in Bluffton, the daughter of Jerry K. and Lois G. (Noblet) Murray. On Nov. 10, 1990, she married Bret L. Fair, and he survives.
Jill was a 1988 graduate of Bluffton High School and a 1989 graduate of International Business College. Prior to being a homemaker, Jill was an activities director at Christian Care Retirement Community and had also worked in several doctors' offices around the Bluffton area. Jill also worked as a clerical medical assistant for Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of Kokomo First Church of the Nazarene, where she served in the choir and regularly attended the Ladies Bible Study. Jill was a former member of the Bluffton First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts, and especially spending time with her family.
Along with her husband, Bret, Jill is survived by her son, Mitchell L. Fair, Kokomo; parents, Jerry K. and Lois G. Murray, Bluffton; brother, Michael W. and Mary Murray, Bluffton; grandmother, Martha Rupel, Bluffton; mother- and father-in-law, William L. and Sandra K. Fair, Bluffton; sister-in-law, Laura A. Fair, Fort Wayne; nieces, Katie and Preston Brubaker, and Claire Murray; great-nephew, Leo Wayne Brubaker; uncles, Fred andTrudy Murray, Bluffton, and Fred and Rhonda Rupel; and aunt, Rachel Martin, Pierceton, Indiana.
Jill was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Wayne Murray and Fred Rupel Sr.; grandmother, Ruth Murray; and niece, Lydia Murray.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington St., Kokomo, with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.
