Janice Lee Warren Janice Lee Warren, 74, Kokomo, Indiana, transitioned from labor to reward at 5:28 a.m. Sept. 3, 2018.
She was a member of Everlasting Dominion Fellowship. Janice retired from General Motors/Delco, UAW 292, after 30 years of service. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University. She had been coordinator of the G.E.D. Pride Program at Kokomo Schools. Janice previously taught at Indiana University Kokomo and Ivy Tech.
Janice leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, son, Demetrius Warren (Paula); siblings, Arnick (Billie), of Terre Haute, Patricia Stewart, of Terre Haute, Carole Looney, of Indianapolis, Marilyn Hester (Nate), of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Elaine Waller, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Rebecca Lay, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Sheila Fairbanks, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Rita Woods, of Indianapolis, Hazel Fortson, of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Lillie Smith (Jeff), of Hampton, Virginia; goddaughter, Carlett Rodgers (Charles), of Huntsville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Demetrius II, Des'ree, Demarius and Aalana; and one great-grandchild, Leo; and a host of extended family and friends.
The memorial service is 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Morning Star Church, 2900 E. Markland Ave., Kokomo, Indiana. The visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, with the homegoing celebration commencing at noon at Cross America, 840 Daniel Drive, Kokomo, Indiana. Pastor Demetrius Warren will officiate, and the eulogist will be Bishop Byron V. Johnson. The interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery, Terre Haute, Indiana.
Floral deliveries should be made on Saturday, Sept. 15. Arrangements were entrusted to Bluitt & Son Funeral Home, www.bluittandson.com.
