James K. Pearson, 81, Russiaville, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at his home. He was born Feb. 6, 1936, in Hamilton County, to Kenneth and Hazel Esther (Shook) Pearson. On Dec. 20, 1957, James married Betty Lou Sutton and she passed away on June 15, 2016.
James was a 1955 Forest High School graduate and worked for 30 years for Chrysler Corp in Kokomo retiring on April 30, 1987. He loved watching sprint car racing.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (Jake) Jackson, Kokomo; grandchildren, Brooke and Joshua Jackson; stepgrandchildren, Tony (Gloria) Jackson, Susan and Carter Jackson; sister, Hazel (Charlie) Townsend; brothers Arthur Pearson and Warren (Jerri) Pearson; and several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Hazel Pearson; wife, Betty Lou Pearson; sister, Martha Gee; and sister-in-law, Collen Pearson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home 200 E. Main St. Russiaville, with Steve Cole officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the America Cancer Society. Stout & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
