James Patrick Mullen, 76, Kokomo, passed peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017. James was born in Winona, Minnesota, Jan. 11, 1941, to his parents, Glen P. and Floryan Mullen (Werra). He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Powell Mullen, who he married Aug. 20, 1961 in Attica, and passed in 1998; brother, Kenneth Mullen; and grandson, Kenny Goudy.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching all sports. He had a contagious laugh and outgoing personality and was known to be a jokester. He loved his snacks, especially potato chips, Diet Coke and popcorn.
James retired after a career of 36 years with Chrysler as a job setter. He was a member of the UAW Local 685. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force on active duty as an M.P. at Grissom Air Force Base and later in the Reserve.
He is survived by his children, William Mullen, Cindy (Scott) Simmons, Christy (Greg) Goudy and Debby Dunn; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the loving staff at the Golden Living Center for their tremendous care over the past many years.
Services will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 4, with visitation one hour prior and from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Ellers Mortuary Webster, with the Rev. Greg Goudy officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Albright Cemetery.
