Jackie's Story

Jackie "Spider" Wayne Snyder, 74, North Port, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at his home. He was born Sept. 30, 1943, to Emil and Merle (Cooper) Snyder. He married Patty L. Mullencup on Dec. 2, 1977.
Jack graduated from Kokomo High School in 1961 and was part of the 1960 and 1961 NCC Championship golf team.
He worked for Chrysler Corp. and retired after 30 years of service. He served in the National Guard for six years.
As an avid golfer, Jack loved going to the American Legion and The Wildcat Golf Course to meet with friends and was a member of UAW 685, Eagles and American Legion. He loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren.
He is survived by one sister, Donna Bean, Texas; three daughters, Christy (Snyder) Frazier and husband Ronnie (son-in-law), Kokomo, Janelle (Snyder) Schelbert and husband John, Kokomo, and Karen Baker, Venice, Florida; three grandchildren, Sidney Schelbert, Kelsey Frazier and Cody Frazier; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Merle Snyder; wife, Patty; and six brothers and three sisters.
His wish was that there would be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
