Homer Eugene Hoover, 85, Kokomo, passed away at home on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017. Homer was born Feb. 1, 1932, to Howard Marshal Hoover and Betsy Lee (Moore) Hoover. He married his wife Joyce Hoover June 6, 1965. She preceded him in death in 2006.
Homer attended school in Sharpsville, and then went to work at Delco Electronics. He retired in 1988 after 35 and a half years of service. Homer enjoyed reading books and sitting outside reading the newspaper. Homer and his wife enjoyed watching live music in the parks around Kokomo. He loved the 1960's Yankee's baseball team and was happy to have witnessed the Cubs win recently! Homer loved taking David on train rides as he was growing up. When his wife Joyce passed, Homer's son took him out every Saturday for dinner. Those memories David will cherish forever. He was an honorable man and he loved his country. The family would like to say thank you to those neighbors who watched over him.
Homer is survived by his son, David Hoover (companion, Melissa Mooney) and a sister, Georgia Ryan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Hoover; and sister, Agness Bess.
