Glen "Dale" Miller, 76, Kokomo, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at his home. He was born Jan. 16, 1941, in Nevada, Indiana, the son of Earcil and Dora (Maloney) Miller.
Dale was a 1960 graduate of Sharpsville High School and a 1967 of Indiana College of Mortuary Science. He retired from American Standard in 1995 after 30 years of service. He also previously owned and operated Miller Funeral Home in Kokomo.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Glenn) Salyer, Peru; son, Dale (Christi) Miller, Kokomo; daughter, Donna (Terry) Koontz, Kokomo; grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Combs, Stephanie (John) Maxwell, Ashley (Andy) Phillips, Cody Salyer, Alicia (Scott) Larson, Jennifer (Rob) Deeds, Daniel (Rebecca) Miller, Kristina (Brandon) Goodman, Jeffrey (Kristen) Miller, Chelsea Miller (significant other, Robert Vanness), Christopher (Brittney) Miller, Amanda Holloway, Glen Scott Miller and Samantha Thompson-Conk; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Pat (Donald) Mundell, Kokomo.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey Miller; brothers, Earcil "Whitey" R. Miller Jr., Bill Miller and Jerry Miller; sister, Bonnie Oldfield; one infant sister; and ex-wife, Marilyn Miller, who preceded him in death on June 25, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Hospital Cancer Center.
