George Albert Kinder, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017. George was born to Herman and Mildred Kinder on Aug. 9, 1935, in Kokomo. He married Judith Knotts on March 27, 1960, and she preceded him in death.
George served our country in the United States Army for four years in Germany. He went on to work at Kolux and Kinder Sign Service, making signs. George enjoyed playing and watching golf and basketball. He also loved to paint, cook out, and work in the yard. He was a great dad, and loved his grandkids, too.
George is survived by his daughters, Julie (Mark) Fulkerson and Jennifer (Steve Turner) Johnson; sister, Barbara Tinder; grandchildren Benjamin Johnson, Joshua (Tiffany) Fulkerson, Kelsey Turner, Brittany (fiance Randy Whitacre) Fulkerson, and Zachary Turner; several great-grandchildren; nieces Tammy Kinder and Stevee Tinder.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Kinder; parents, Herman and Mildred Kinder; brothers, Gary Kinder, Marley Kinder, and Howard Kinder.
Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 22, at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow at noon. George will be laid to rest at Kokomo Memorial Park.
