Gary L. Shuck, 66, Kokomo, passed away at 2:02 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, 2017, at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of late Stanley & Betty (Lynas) Shuck. On Jan. 10, 1992, he married Pamela D. Deck and she survives.
Gary was a 1969 graduate of Sharpsville Prairie High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1969-1973 earning the rank of Sgt. Gary retired in 2006 from General Motors after 28 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local #292, and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1152. He had a passion for golf.
Along with his wife, Pamela, Gary is survived by his children, Stacy Lynn Shuck Kintner and Marlaina R. (Rusty) Lytle; grandchildren, Braxton Lytle, Maray Lytle, Bailey Goodnight, Lacy Goodnight and Toby Goodnight; along with several nieces and nephews; brothers, William Shuck and Robert (Elaine) Shuck; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Delviagene (Vern) Colter, Paul Deck, Mark (Vicky) Deck, Kathy (Bill) Eads, Jackie Williams, Jerry (Betty) Deck, Susie Deck, Gee-Knee (George) Rioux, Roger (Letia) Sexton, Cecelia (John) Francis and Kathy (Jim) Gaddy; and aunt, Mildred Mumaugh.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Amy Shuck Miller, and Kelly Goodnight, and mother and father-in-law, Lawrence & Marie Deck.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, and military honors provided by the United States Air Force and the Kokomo Military Rites Team. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
