Gary L. Hunt, 63, Greentown, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at his home. He was born April 15, 1954, in Kokomo, the son of Jack L. and Barbara (Heninger) Hunt. On July 20, 1973, he married Kathy Henry and she survives.
Gary was a graduate of Eastern High School. He had worked in customer service for Sylvania and Sears. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, motorcycles, as well as spending time with friends at the campgrounds.
Along with his wife Kathy, Gary is also survived by his mother-in-law, Etta Jane Henry; brothers-in-law, Craig (Becky) Henry and Mark (Debbie) Henry; sisters-in-laws, Sandy (Rick) Walters and Alvenia Guge; niece, Amanda Shelly; nephews, Brad Shelly, David Shelly, Ryan Kenworthy, Luke Kenworthy, Sean Winegardner and James Guge; and sisters, Debbie Shelly, Jenny (Tim) Kenworthy and Stacy Winegardner.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his siblings, James Henry, Lois Hunt and Karen Wilson; and his nephew, Jeremy Cecil.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 10, 2017, at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown, with Pastor Chuck Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in Greentown. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
