Frederick E. Stahl, 88, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Golden Living Center. He was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Kokomo. Frederick married his wife Georgia Mae (Butcher) in January of 1958. She preceded him in death.
Until Frederick's mid-20s he worked on the family farm. He enlisted in the Army in December 1954 and served for two years. Prior to enlisting and upon his discharge from the Army he worked for Haynes International. Frederick opened Stahl Welding in 1958, and to this day it is still going strong. Frederick worked every day until his injury just a few weeks ago. He was a very hard worker and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Frederick is survived by his son, Jeff Stahl (companion, Rebbecca Sue Haggard), Kokomo; and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Jasmine Barnes.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Georgia; brothers, Jack, Carl, and Willard "Junior" Stahl; sisters, Betty and Marjorie; and stepgranddaughter, Marcia Lou Barnes.
Funeral services for Frederick will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, with Pastor David Osborne officiating. Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date.
