Fauntaine  Weir


Fauntaine Weir, 90, passed away on Sept. 4, 2018, at Waterford Place. Fauntaine was born to William W. and Ethel V. Tartar on Aug. 5, 1928, in Kokomo.
Fauntaine attended Kokomo High School, then went on to marry LeRoy J. Weir, on Dec. 29, 1945. Together, they owned and operated Spring Hill Campground. Fauntaine was also a homemaker, and had worked in the cafeteria at Wallace School.
Fauntaine leaves behind her children, Gary (Rita) Weir and Debbie (Jerry) Maden; six grandchildren, Wendy (Joe Pollack) Layton, Meredith Weir, Brett Maden, Devon (Steve) Good, Kelly Maden, and Maisey Turley; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Fauntaine was preceded in passing by her husband, her parents, her daughter, Rhonda Turley, and five brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Sunset Memory Garden. Pastor Robert Hackle will officiate.
