Eunice Mae Gingerich, 92, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash Care Center. She was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Kokomo, to Ernest and Ruth C. (Harris) Hudson. On Aug. 15, 1944, she married Fenton Gingerich in Tipton, and he preceded her in death Nov. 12, 2002.
Eunice was a 1943 graduate of Kokomo High School. She worked for Haynes Stellite and Delco Electronics, and retired from Delco in 1975 after 14 years of service. She was a member of the Elks, Del Ray Club and Moose Auxiliary.
She dearly loved playing golf, working puzzles, traveling, going to the lake, working in the yard, wintering in Florida and playing with grandchildren.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Chad Keyton, Noblesville, and Brandi Allen (Brian), Cincinnati; great-grandchildren, Kendall Keyton, Nolan Keyton and Ava Allen; best friend, Marilyn Gronow; several nieces and nephews; and sister, Claris Gingerich.
In addition to her husband, Fenton, she was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Deborah Keyton Gillespie, and her beloved dog, Pepi.
The family extends gratitude to Wellington of Kokomo, Artis of Mason, Ohio, and Hospice of Cincinnati.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo. A graveside of inurnment will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
