Ernest Noal's Story
Ernest Noal "Ernie" Cleaver, 60, Kokomo, passed away at 6:28 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017, at his home. He was born Jan. 7, 1957, in Kokomo, the son of Ernest M. and Barbara (Duncan) Cleaver.
Ernest was a 1980 graduate of Tri-Central High School. He retired in 2017 from Chrysler Corp. after 22 years of service, and was member of UAW Local 685. He was a talented drummer and played in several bands. Ernest enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Esther Abresch-Cleaver; mother, Barbara Cleaver; daughter, Amanda (Tom) Williams; stepdaughter, Jessica (Rob) Johnson; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Dan Cleaver and John Cleaver.
Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Ernest M. Cleaver.
A memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Jack Woodard officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
