Emil G. Rocheford, 81, of Bunker Hill, passed away on May 18, 2019, with his loving wife and son by his side. Emil was born on Feb. 22, 1938, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the late Emil Sr. and Esther Rocheford.
Emil was a retired senior master sergeant, 26 years before retiring at Grissom AFB. His specialty was radio communications operator on KC135 aircraft. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Flying Cross. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends and his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Karin Rocheford, Bunker Hill, son; Dennis (Lisa) Rocheford, Pembroke, New Hampshire; two sisters, Joyce (Lloyd) Morin, East Douglas, Massachusetts, and Debbie Rocheford, Worcester, Massachusetts; two grandsons, Jeremy (Peaches) Rocheford, North Andover, Massachusetts, and Keehan Rocheford, Kokomo, two great-granddaughters, Audrey and Cedena Rocheford, North Andover, Massachusetts; daughter-in-law, Pam Rocheford, Kokomo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wayne and Jerry Rocheford; and sister, Diane Rocheford.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Friday, May 24, 2019, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Peru, Indiana, with Father Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will follow in Marion National Cemetery, Marion. A time of visitation will be held in the church vestibule from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

I am saddened to learn of Rocky passing. I have fond memories of him. I flew many missions with Rocky on the EC-135's.
