Dr. Milton's Story
Dr. Milton Wayne Boyer, 88, Kokomo, passed away at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo. He was born July 13, 1929, in Liberty, Missouri, to Chester Vern and Mable (Means) Boyer. Milton had been married 56 years to Lois Browning in Kokomo, and she survives.
Milton was a graduate of Alba High School, received his bachelor's degree from Missouri University and received his DDS from Washington University. He served in the United State Air Force for two years. Milton was a dentist from 1959 to 2000 in Howard County. He was a member of the Howard County Dental Society, former member of the Elks, Country Club and Green Acres. Milton was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Yankees fan
Survivors include his wife, Lois Boyer; daughter, Terri (Doug) Srail; son, Brian Boyer; grandchildren, Taylor (Mickey) White, Logan Shepherd, Austin Boyer, Alexis Boyer, Erica (Bob) Roudebush, Erin Orr, Evan (Megan) Schafer; great-grandchildren, Hayden White, Hendrix White, Vincent Shepherd, Jackson Orr, Jordan Orr, Hunter Roudebush, Reagan Roudebush, Aiden Schafer, Beckett Schafer; sisters, Dolores Webb, Shirley (Jack) Lockhart, Pansey (Russell) Schell, Bobbi McNary, Marcy Layton; brothers, Cloyd (Nadine) Boyer, Ronnie Boyer.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mabel Boyer; daughter, Patsy Jane Shepherd; sisters, Wanita Woodmansee, Lelia Boyer; brothers, Kenton Boyer, Clete Boyer, Lynn Boyer, Leonard Boyer.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastors Darren Miracle and Steve Cole officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with military honors. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.stoutandson.com.
