Donald Lee Luckey Jr., 64, West Middleton, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at St. Vincent Kokomo. Born July 7, 1953, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Donald Lee Luckey and Nancy (Ryker) Luckey.
He was a 1971 graduate of Haworth High School. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army. He was employed with Delco Electronics, retiring in 2004 after 30 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 292 and Family Worship Center. He was an Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers fan. He loved to fix up old bicycles and give them to the kids in the neighborhood. He enjoyed doing crosswords, going to church, reading his Bible, and playing with his grandkids.
Survivors include one son, Lucas Kyle Luckey, West Middleton; one daughter, Davina (Benny Jr.) Hillis, West Middleton; one sister, Donna "Marie" (Leroy) Pierce, Kokomo; three grandchildren, Aubree Hillis, Jalen Hillis, and Brantley Hillis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Davin Luckey; one brother, David Luckey; two sisters, Ellen Thompson and Deloris "Dee" Luckey.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Family Worship Center, 1149 E. Center Road. Pastor James Bradley will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
