Diane's Story

Diane R. Monnot, 65, Kokomo, passed away at 5:36 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Diane was born Oct. 13, 1952, to John and Norma (White) Bandelier.
She was a 1970 graduate of Northwestern High School, received a bachelor's degree in education from Purdue University, and also received a master's degree in instructional design and a master's degree in education from Indiana University. Diane worked for 30 years at Delphi Electronics, where she did suggestions, training and instructional design. She taught three years at Darrough Chapel, along with working at St. Vincent Kokomo. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon, and was in the bell choir and church choir. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She received an award for helping set up the Crime Scene Program from the Kokomo Police Department. Diane enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening in her flower beds, Purdue sports and church activities at Judson Baptist.
Survivors include her son, Christopher G. (Rene) Monnot, Wake Forest, North Carolina; daughter, Tera R. (Stacey) Pollard, Kokomo; her mother, Norma Bandelier; grandchildren, Emma Monnot, A.J. Monnot, Aviannah Pollard, Grayson Pollard, Fiancé (Sean) Kinney; sister, Patty Rolan, Bozwell, Indiana; brother, Bill (Lisa) Bandelier, Kokomo; two nieces, Becky Brettnacher and Elizabeth Barbour; and a nephew, Jake Bandelier.
She was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at Judson Road Baptist Church, 1995 N. 750 West, Kokomo, IN 46901, with one hour of visiting prior to the service. Pastor Gary Britton will be officiating. Burial will follow in Barnett Cemetery in Kokomo. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, also at the church.
