Carolyn S. Wimmer, 74, of Russiaville, passed away 4:30 a.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born on Jan. 25, 1944, in Howard County to Donald and Dorothy (Kennedy) Thompson.
Carolyn was a 1962 Western High School graduate and retired after 32 years of service at Delco Electronics. She was a member of the UAW Local 292.Carolyn loved her family, Molly her dog and working in the yard.
Survivors include her sons, Chuck (Teresa) Mooney, of Russiaville, Tim Mooney, of Kokomo; daughter, Tina Mooney, of Kokomo; grandchildren, Zac Reser, Faith Mooney, Hannah Mooney, Dirk Mooney, Heather Mooney, Janzen Wimmer, Devon Wimmer; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jon (Joy) Thompson, of Kokomo, Chris Thompson, of Florida; brother-in-law, Tom Eades; and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy Thompson; her sisters, Janice Surber and Janie Eades; her brothers, Max Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Mike Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. Russiaville, with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Burial will follow at Russiaville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.stoutandson.com.
