Cameron A. Diaz, 23, Galveston, passed away at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1994, in Kokomo, to Ken and Heather (Hamilton) Diaz.
Cameron graduated from Lewis Cass High School in 2012 and attended IUPUI. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and enjoyed kayaking, fly fishing, concerts and the Indianapolis Colts.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Heather Diaz, Galveston; his sisters, Jordan (Emerson) Bowling, Brynna Diaz and Hallie Diaz, all of Galveston. He is also survived by his best friend, Audia Childers; maternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia Hamilton, Galveston; paternal grandmother, Maggie (Dick) Dewitt, Kokomo; and maternal great-grandmother, Claudia (Lisle) Morris, Galveston. Also surviving are his aunt, Melainie (Matt) Hardin; cousins, Brooke and Maison Hardin, Kokomo, and Cody (Hannah) Hardin, Chesapeake, Virginia, as well as his aunt, Megan (Walter) Bennett and cousins, Cale, Evan, Beau and Chloe Bennett, Pierceton.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jesse Diaz, and uncle, Heath Hamilton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at First Christian Church, Kokomo, with the Rev. Cheryl Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery.
