Bruce's Story

Surrounded by his wife and children, Bruce Allen Turner peacefully left this earthly paradise to continue on in the eternal paradise at 11:13 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born March 31, 1961, in Indianapolis to Robert M. and Lois (Watts) Turner.
He had been employed as a lead cabinet maker for Comlux America for the last seven years. Before going to work at Comlux, he had been a custom finish-trim carpenter for more than 25 years.
Bruce graduated from Warren Central High School in 1979. He was a member of Jerome Christian Church and was a member of Lake Webster Muskie Club. He enjoyed fishing and referred to himself as a lunkar junkie. He had a brightly colored aura, a huge beautiful smile, and was the best hugger on the planet.
Survivors include wife, Teri Turner, Greentown; six children, Bruce A. Turner, Allyse Turner, Andrew Turner, Aren Turner, Arianna Turner, Nichole Blanford and Lindsay (Chad) Wimmer; mother, Lois Turner; brothers and sisters, Debbie Bogue, Robert Turner, Ellen Daniels, Linda Turner, Kevin Turner and Ashley Turner; favorite mother- and father-in-law,Patricia M. and Gene Northcutt; and five grandchildren, Jaida, Colvin, Nehemiah, Elliott and Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Robert M. Turner.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Jerome Christian Church, 9535 E. 100 South, Greentown, with Pastor Jake Purtlebaugh officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Farmers Bank and Trust for his children's education. Arrangements are being handled by Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, Greentown. Online condolences may be made at www.hasler-stout.com.
