Betty Rose Miller, 88, Sharpsville, passed peacefully at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at IU Health Tipton. Betty was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Sharpsville to her parents, Robert W. and Lelia D. (Fisher) DeWitt. Betty was married to Charles L. Miller from Oct. 18, 1953, until his passing Oct. 14, 2001.
She is survived by her children, Bob (Maxine) Miller, Greentown, Roger (Panda) Miller, Windfall; grandchildren, Heidi (Brenden) Rostron, Jennifer (Tony Trotter) Miller, Kristen (Daniel) Cole, Betsie (A.J.) Montel; great-grandchildren, Russell and Patrick Rostron, Londyn Trotter; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Betty graduated from Sharpsville High School, Class of 1947. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cubs, Reds, and Coach Bob Knight. Betty will be remembered for her strong will and loving heart. She was devoted to her family and spent as much time with them as possible. Betty was a lifetime member of Fairfield Christian Church and worked as its secretary until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 48 years, Charles L. Miller; son, Ron Miller; brother, Ray Cage; and sister, Mary Hueston.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fairfield Christian Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Fairfield Christian Church, 1476 E. 400 South, Kokomo, IN 46901, with Pastors Lynn Coleman and Keith Cramer officiating. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Albright Cemetery.
