Betty J. Armstrong, 70, of Burlington, passed away at 9:55 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at her home. Betty was born July 25, 1947, in Logansport to Harold and Pearl (Hassler) Morrison. Her mother survives. On Aug. 16, 1975, she married Joseph L. Armstrong. He preceded her in death Dec. 15, 2013. Betty was a 1965 Carroll High School graduate. Betty was a homemaker and she worked as a medical receptionist for various physicians. She was a member of Faith Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, especially to feel sand between her toes.
Survivors include her children, Michael Walker of Louisville, Kentucky, Valerie (Michael) Stout, Bringhurst, Amanda (Jason) Blunt, Burlington, and Joseph (Winnie) Armstrong, Burlington; her mother, Pearl Morrison, Burlington; grandchildren, Ashley Wilson, Alexa Stout, Carson Stout, Devier Meriwether, Avery Armstrong, Reagan Armstrong, Felicity Blunt and Samuel Blunt; great-grandchildren, Casen Stout and Madden Stout; and two brothers, Bill Morrison (Marilyn) and Kenneth Morrison (Nancy).
Betty was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Faith Church of Christ, 1701 S. Michigan St., Burlington, with Pastor Michael Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, also at the Church. Contributions may be made to the Faith Church of Christ or Indiana Ground Water Association Joseph L.
