Barbara Gene "Bobbie" Brantley, 64, Kokomo, passed away at 1:58 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at her home. She was born March 2, 1953, in Kokomo, the daughter of Floyd and Lucy (Dickison) Williams. On Nov. 20, 1971, she married Dennis W. Brantley, and he survives.
Bobbie was a 1971 graduate of Kokomo High School. She worked for Northeast Animal Clinic as a vet tech for over 30 years. Bobbie was a member of Bon Air Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed flower gardening, making jewelry, and learning new things. She looked forward to her weekly visits on Tuesdays with her sisters. Bobbie loved her pets and vacationing in Gatlinburg.
Along with her husband, Dennis, Bobbie is also survived by her son, Nicholas (Alison) Brantley, Kokomo; daughter-in-law, Terra Brantley, Kokomo; grandchildren, Makenzie and Lauren Brantley, Zachary, Hayley, Anakin, Declan, Arawen, Aislin, Piper and Kannen Brantley, Elizabethe and Christian O'Donnell; sisters, Pat (John) Benson, Kokomo, Peggy (Bill) Strunk, Lafayette, and Terri (John) Rupert, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jamey Brantley; and her brother-in-law, Bob Keith.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Oct. 7, 2017, at Bon Air Church of the Nazarene, 2419 N. Locke St., with Pastor James Trippett officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road.
