Arlene Rayle, 86, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2017. She was born to Raymond and Flossie Heller in Wells County, Indiana, on March 23, 1931.
Arlene graduated from Marion High School in 1949. She worked as a secretary for Bona Vista for 20 ½ years. On Oct. 27, 1950 she married her husband of nearly 67 years, Bill Rayle. Arlene was the love of Bill's life. Together, they enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter, going out to eat, and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arlene loved every one of them. She was an excellent wife and an exceptional mother.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Bill Rayle; children, Becky (Michael) Welch, Winamac, Ronald (Melony) Rayle, Westfield, and David (Manda) Rayle, Kokomo; brother, Keith Heller; sister, Berneil Baxter; grandchildren, Susan (Ritchie) Bray, Peru, Daniel (Heather) Welch, Birchwood, Wisconsin, Joseph (Lindsey) Welch, Mooresville, Indiana, Kayla (Chad) Holajter, Evergreen, Colorado, Amber (Chris) Edberg, Chicago, Illinois, and Marisa Charlier, Indianapolis; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ardith Heller; sister, Maxine Sanders; and son, Larry Rayle.
Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Ellers Mortuary, Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Steve Cole. Arlene will be laid to rest at Crown Point Cemetery.
