Aline Philomena Swaim, age 76, of Cicero, Indiana, passed away Feb. 23, 2018, with her family at her side.
She was born Jan. 9, 1942, in Chicago, to Martin and Helen (Bourdon) Rausch. After graduating high school, she earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Presbyterian St. Luke Nursing School at Chicago. She had worked for 42 years at Howard Community Hospital at Kokomo, including 20 years in ICU and 22 years in Home Health Care. Aline believed that her nursing career was her calling.
She was a 12 year member of Cicero Friends of the Park, also the Cicero American Legion Auxiliary and several euchre clubs. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her husband.
She married Robert Edward Swaim on Sept. 29, 1962. He preceded her in death July 10, 2015. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Rausch.
Surviving her is a daughter, Christy (Rob) Wilson of Cicero; granddaughter, Shelby Wilson of Cicero; and a brother, Martin Rausch of Arlington, Washington.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, IN 46034, with visitation from 4 p.m. until time of the services.
