Aleta J. Craig, 64, of Kokomo, passed away at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Kokomo Health Care. She was born on June 19, 1953, in Tipton County, to Elwood and Betty M (Moore) ONeal. On June 28, 1978, Aleta married Wesley Craig and he passed away on Jan. 4, 2004.
Aleta went to Western High School and worked for 25 years at St. Joseph Hospital in House Keeping. She attended the Salvation Army Church and volunteered in serving. Aleta also loved to spend Sunday night at Honey Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother Betty M. ONeal of Russiaville; sisters Lisa ONeal of Forest, Virginia, and Sandy (John) Thomas of Russiaville; brother Ernie (Lisa) ONeal of Russiaville; and nieces and nephews Ashlee ONeal, Adam Thomas, Jesse Thomas and Chad ONeal.
Aleta was preceded in death by her father Elwood ONeal and husband Wesley Craig.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Bill Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Russiaville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
